After graduating in 1996 with a degree in accounting, Dave worked for a couple of years in the construction industry doing bookkeeping. In 1998 he came to work for the family jewelry trade shop. Over time he wanted to contribute more to the company then just administrative support. Using his 3 years of high school drafting courses and knowledge of jewelry manufacturing he started using JewelCAD to design jewelry and a Sanders Model Maker II to make models. In 2003 he started using Rhino for computer aided design feeling it gave him more flexibility. The Model Maker was getting old by 2006 and he needed to replace it. After researching his options he decided to convert to Matrix for CAD and use a REVO 940 mill for making the models.

In the beginning of 2008 Dave decided it would be best to focus his energy on CAD. Since then he’s trained office staff to handle most of the bookkeeping and administration freeing him to spend more time helping his clients turn their concepts into reality.

Although Dave has specialized in jewelry design, he is always looking to expand his knowledge and take on CAD projects outside the jewelry industry. If you need CAD assistance contact him to see what he can do for you. No project is too small!
